The story of 601
601 appears in the supplied record as EO Premium 601 Serie, a client brand of EO Brands produced by Pepin Garcia’s company at Tabacalera Cubana S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.
José “Pepin” Garcia entered the tobacco trade in Cuba in December 1961, beginning at age 11 in a factory owned by an uncle. He later attained the Class 8 Master roller rank and worked as a blender and quality-assurance specialist before leaving Cuba in 2001.
Garcia established El Rey de los Habanos in Miami in 2002. Rising demand led the company to establish the larger TACUBA factory in Estelí in June 2006; the company later adopted the name My Father Cigars.
