The house
The story of Don Tomas
Before the cigar boom of the 1990s, Don Tomas cigars were made in Danli, Honduras. Their tobaccos came from nearby farms in Honduras and Nicaragua.
During the boom, those tobaccos became scarce and more expensive. Don Tomas was unable to return to them until later.
Under the guidance of Villazon cigar master Estelo Padron, Don Tomas Clasico returned to its Honduran roots through blends using Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Craft
How they make them
Don Tomas Clasico is hand-rolled in Honduras. The Presidente and Robusto described by Atlantic Cigar Company use a Honduran Habano wrapper with Honduran binder and filler. Both are identified as medium-strength, Colorado cigars.
