The story of Illusione
Illusione is a small boutique cigar brand created by blender Dion Giolito. Giolito sought to recreate a particular taste profile from years past.
In 2007, Illusione earned the distinction of placing #7 in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2007.
Cígares Privé, whose name means “Private Cigars,” was initially released to exclusive retailers. In 2016, the line was offered to all retailers.
Cígares Privé is made in two blends: one with a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper and another with a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper. Each is offered in three sizes and packed in boxes of 25 cigars.

How they make them
The documented Cígares Privé cigars are hand-rolled, long-filler Nicaraguan cigars with Nicaraguan binder and filler. The Corojo version uses a Nicaraguan Corojo Rosado wrapper, while the Maduro uses Mexican San Andres leaf. Both are blended by Dion Giolito and described as medium to full in strength.
