The story of Partagas
Partagás remains closely associated with Cuban cigar culture. At the 23rd Festival del Habano, a gala paid tribute to the brand and presented Línea Maestra in three vitolas: Rito, Origen and Maestro.
The Línea Maestra was subsequently presented in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 11 July 2024 by Kaliman Caribe, the Habanos distributor for 12 Balkan countries. Other Cuban releases cited by Cigar Journal include Serie E No. 2 Gran Reserva Cosecha 2015 and Legado Edición Limitada 2020.
Partagas also appears in Dominican production. The Black Label is manufactured in the Dominican Republic and described as following the tradition of Ramón Cifuentes. More recent projects include Partagas de Bronce, the brand’s first collaboration, handcrafted by Cuban expatriate rollers at Miami’s El Titán de Bronze Cigar Factory.

How they make them
Partagas Black Label cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic with long-filler tobacco. The blend combines a Connecticut medio tiempo sun-grown wrapper, Dominican La Vega Especial binder, and Nicaraguan ligero with Cuban-seed Piloto ligero filler. The cited Colossal is a 4 1/2-by-60 gordo with a firm construction and smooth, easy draw.
