The story of Zino
Zino Platinum is part of the cigar portfolio of Oettinger Davidoff AG, the Basel-based Swiss company that also manufactures cigars under the Davidoff and Camacho names.
The name recalls Zino Davidoff, the Geneva tobacconist and cigar merchant who developed the Davidoff business. In 1970, he sold that business and the Davidoff trademark to the Basel family firm Oettinger AG, while remaining a public ambassador for Davidoff until his death in 1994.
Today, Oettinger Davidoff AG owns the non-cigarette portion of the Davidoff tobacco business and produces its cigars in the Dominican Republic and Honduras.
