The story of Zino Platinum
Zino Platinum is among the cigar brands manufactured by Oettinger Davidoff AG, alongside Davidoff and Camacho. The company is based in Basel, Switzerland.
The name recalls Zino Davidoff, the Swiss cigar merchant who ran a specialist tobacco shop in Geneva from 1926 until 1994. Davidoff first released cigars bearing his name in 1968, and Oettinger AG acquired the rights to the Davidoff trademark in 1970.
Davidoff ended Cuban production and began making cigars in the Dominican Republic in 1990 through Tabadom, owned by Hendrik Kelner. Today, Oettinger Davidoff AG produces cigars, including Zino Platinum, in the Dominican Republic and Honduras.
