Red
About this cigar
Made by Joya de Nicaragua, Nicaragua's oldest cigar factory, Red offers a more approachable direction than the house's traditionally bold, ligero-heavy blends. Its all-Nicaraguan composition combines a Habano wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Estelí, Condega and Jalapa, producing a balanced, vibrant medium-bodied smoke suitable throughout the day.

The tingle on the retrohale; usually strongest in the first third.
Roasted, faintly bitter sweetness that builds through the middle.
Sugars from the wrapper and long-leaf filler; often on the lips.
The soft, rounded texture that keeps a smoke easy on the palate.
Toasted, bready notes — almond, cashew, fresh bread, cereal.

How to keep it
General humidor guidance for this cigar, based on its wrapper, strength, ring gauge and packaging.
Hold the box at 65–70% relative humidity at 65–70°F (18–21°C). Steady humidity matters far more than the exact number — swings are what crack wrappers.
Two to three weeks of rest after delivery lets the box settle back to your humidor before the first smoke.
A medium blend like this holds well for a year or two; longer aging mostly smooths the finish rather than changing the flavour.
Age them in their own box where possible — the cedar keeps the cigars marrying together instead of taking on the flavour of everything else in the humidor.
