The story of Foundation
Foundation Cigar Company’s portfolio includes The Upsetters, Menelik, Charter Oak, The Tabernacle, Metepa, AKSUM, Olmec and collaborations with Highclere Castle.
Menelik first appeared as an event-only cigar in 2016 and was later introduced as a 6 × 52 toro. Charter Oak Pegnataro and Pasquale were created as tributes to the beloved grandfathers of Melillo.
Foundation has also worked with Highclere Castle on Senetjer, a blend commemorating the centenary of the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb by the 5th Earl of Carnarvon and archaeologist Howard Carter. In 2026, the company marked its tenth anniversary with a limited-edition 7 × 58 perfecto salomon called 10-Year Anniversary.
